It was going to be broadcast close to Rememberance Sunday but I think also neither Curtis or Elton were happy with the original ending so edited it into the slowmo to the poppy field to fill the cut bit?

Right thinking, wrong answer.

Ignore the first outright wrong, you are close but not close enough.

Ok actually watched the repeat of the making of Blackadder last night & all I can add to what I have already said is that neither writers were happy with how the it looked and when they asked the ensemble to do a retake Rowan refused.

I'll post one and see what happens.

Complete the following (fill in the "?" symbols) and explain:

Code:
1-6 =2
8-13 =[B]?[/B]
13-16 =5
16-17 =[B]?[/B]
17-18 =3
18-19 =3+2
19-20 =[B]?[/B]
20-22 =3+3
22-23 =[B]?[/B]
23-25 =3
25-26 =4
26-28A=3
28A-31=[B]?[/B]
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Well, I've either posted this on a quiet day, or I've actually stumped everyone!

Some clues:
1) Case you haven't guessed, this is not mathematics.
2) Becomes easier to fill in the blanks if you know what the sequence is - in fact, I'd probably expect you to have to do research.
3) Removed one ? which might make it easier.
4) Do look for the slightly cryptic clue in here if you haven't got it yet.

Ooh... M8 sounds good, but there's only one service station on the M8 (Harthill/Heart of Scotland), so it wouldn't really fit a pattern.

Is it the number of lanes between junctions on the M8?

Yes, indeed. Data taken from CBRD, going Eastbound.

Here's the completed answer.

Code:
1-6 =2
8-13 =3
13-16 =5
16-17 =4
17-18 =3
18-19 =3+2
19-20 =5
20-22 =3+3
22-23 =2+2
23-25 =3
25-26 =4
26-28A=3
28A-31=2

Over to you.

Clarke Kent. He released a country single in 1962 called 'Your leaky heart'.

Bruce Wayne? (Sounds like a good name for a country singer!)

It does sound like a good name but unless you can provide some evidence of a country singer of that name I'm afraid I can't accept your answer.

That sounds plausible but I can't find any mention of such a person or song. Have you got a link?

I had my suspicions but decided to err on the polite side.

Thank you for your Sunday politeness.

I think my wife may have just got this but it feels slightly like cheating so I'll stay quiet.

Your wife is welcome to provide the answer.

Brilliant! What happens now then?

It's Bruce Wayne Clark so not quite right as Wayne is his middle name, a good find though. Strangely although I can find videos he doesn't seem to have any other online presence,

Well we were going through super hero alter egos with one of the kids (not got much to do today) when she said Steve Austin ie 6 million doller man. I think I remember that Stone Cold Steve Austin the wrestler also amongst other things made a country album a few years ago. Is that right?

Yeah I wasn't expecting that to be considered a correct answer, just surprised that something actually came up on a Google search.

Nope, I got it wrong anyway, he put together an album of songs he liked but he doesn't sing.
I'll get my coat.
