I think that guy is the Interceptor from the TV game show of the same name, but I can't make the link with the other picture.

Thanks. I remember they did one episode where they caught a train and Annabel's base was next to the line, but that pic didn't look like it. Oh well

Indeed... Their orders were to clear space on the "web" to store the memories of refugees as they would likely be killed. The Tachikomas disobeyed, stored their memories instead and rammed their own satellite into the path of a single nuke launched by an American sub. Of note is the PM possibly removing Article 9! Are you a fan of the series, krus?

I am indeed a fan. My wife introduced me to the first film about a decade ago, and we've both enjoyed watching the subsequent films and series. The scene you mention, where the sentient robots commit suicide in order to save their colleagues (and countless others) always threatens to bring a tear to my eye.

On to a fresh question, then.

What word can mean a dyke, a horse, or bread in various dialects in the UK?

Correct. As well as its widespread use for a type of horse, it's used in Derbyshire (at least) to refer to a round loaf or bap. As for the dykes, I knew of the cobs at Malltraeth and Porthmadog, but I also found that the sea wall at Lyme Regis is known as the Cobb.

A male swan is also a cob, there's also corn on the cob, cobnuts, roundish lumps of coal are known as cobs and there are still more...
