That would have been such a good answer, as the Fibonacci sequence ties in with Lars von Triers Nymphomaniac, which is related to a question I set a short while back. It would also, if you look hard enough, tie into my previous question about Breaking Bad.

Also, it might have made it easier for me to set some clues. As it is I'll have to give it some thought and hopefully by tomorrow I'll have come up with something.

The Gutfright sequence, like Fibonacci's version, can be expressed as Xn=aXn-1^b+cXn-2^d+e (where b=/=0 and d=/=0)

In other words, to find the next number in the sequence you must take the last two numbers into account.

Its the definition of a letter. Certain Welsh sounds (like ll) while made of two English letters only count as one letter in Welsh. Ergo, 58 letters in English becomes 51 in Welsh.

Correct. The digraphs 'ch', dd', 'ff', 'ng', 'll', 'ph', 'rh', and 'ph' all require two characters to write/type, but are considered to be a single letter in Welsh. Gutfright was close, but named the languages the other way around.
