He was actually born in Luxembourg. The reason why he was shot was that he was captured as an enemy combatant and not by the British civilian police force.

As you answered the main question correctly it is your turn to set a new one.
However as Paul correctly states he wasn't German, as he was born in Luxembourg, and whilst his crime was listed as espionage in a time of war, he was actually no more than a weather man, sent by the Luftwaffe to report the weather conditions in England so that air raids could be better planned.

The only nebula in Orion that I can think of is M42, which is known as the Orion Nebula - but that seems a bit too obvious to be correct! (It's an interesting object though and visible to the naked eye.)

Do you mean oldest in the sense of when the traditions were gathered together and became part of popular culture, or in the sense of the events/experiences they intend to describe?
For example, the account of creation in the book of Genesis is thought to have originated around 4000BC and Abraham's ancestors as nomads in Mesopotamia are thought to date to the period 3100-2100 BC. But the actual formation of the legends, manuscripts, etc into the format we now call the "Book of Genesis" was obviously much later.

Well, the second word reminds me of the word for the gap in the skull of a newborn baby and posterior means back, so I'll hazard a guess at the back of the head.

The fontanelle is indeed the soft spot of the skull that babies are born with, but I am flummoxed as to what its destination is!
