Disused racecourses? Salford Uni is near the former Manchester racecourse, and I think there used to be one at Blackpool.

Seven former members of the Football League played their home games in Yorkshire.

Hull City (Premiership) are one - who are the other six?

Not sure I understand the question fully. Do you mean they no longer play in what constitues the current boundaries of North, East, South and West Ridings of Yorkshire? Or do you mean are no longer one of the 72?

If my first thinking is correct, I'll go with:
Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough Ironopolois
Rotherham Town
Scarborough
Leeds City
Bradford Park Avenue

If it's not the Middlesborough teams (which used to be in Yorkshire), then I'd wager it's Rotherham County & Halifax

Not part of the 72 - so Bradford PA, Halifax, Leeds City, Middlesbrough Ironopolis, Rotherham Town and Scarborough. (Rotherham County are now Rotherham U, so I didn't count them.)

You got them all anyway!

Carrying on a football theme, 8 players have played for England since the war who have had an 'x' in their surname. Name them.

Freddie Fox played for England in 1925, so not what I was looking for, though I should have specified which war (2nd rather than 1st)...

There is one other that is missing.

The final one is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
