This is all true but I asked about the UKOn 30th August 2006 as part of the Perlan Project, Einar Enevoldson and Steve Fossett reached a height of 50,720 feet in an unpowered glider over Argentina, so the difference would be 15,720 feet.

Easily done, and I was impressed by your precision - to the nearest 500' will do now people appreciate how high gliders can go. In the UK just ordinary gliders were used for a wave flight.Just two letters "UK"...which I overlooked..![]()
