John Arlott from the BBC, Colin Cowdrey, Frank Tyson and Godfrey Evans being the cricketers.

Although I wasn't around at the time my dad had all these programmes.

Well done. The episode was on 4extra recently in time for the Ashes. The piece where you hear John Arlott being caught telling some joke about a commercial traveller & a farmers daughter caused quite a stir at the time. These two subjects being on the BBC's long list of subjects deemed too lewd to broadcast! The later episode where Hancock turns Lords into a farm is another must hear for cricket lovers. Which English football club had the following firsts:
1) To have a player fee decided by the football tribunal;
2) To have their home game on pay-per-view;
3) To go from non-league to the top flight through all 4 divisions;
4) To do 3) in reverse;
5) To win (in old money) the 3rd and 2nd divisions in consectutive seasons.

Why does an Oregon Girl Guide troop have a place in the military history of the United States?
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Ok as no one got it. They were the only US citizens injured or killed on US soil as a direct result of enemy action in WWII. The Japanese launched ballons with explosives attached up into the jet stream and one came down in the guide camp.

Next question. Who was the highest earning member of Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics?
