Actually, Greensleeves is a traditional English melody, traceable back to the 16th century, and adapted by Vaughan Williams. The music I'm thinking about is a little more modern - it was first performed in the 18th century.

I don't look in on this thread much these days but if my memory serves me right, such an occurrence in Britain led to Handel writing the Water Music to regain the favour of King George I.

I am sure there was a similar occurrence with a young composer and a member of a royal dynasty, somewhere in central Europe.

I know the mammals are monotremes so is the answer simply that egg layers do not have separate orifices for excretion and reproduction?
