Another football question but non-footie fans can guess at-

In the FA Cup Third Round match on 9th January 1979 between Charlton Athletic and Maidstone United about 5 minutes from the end of the match an incident occurred which is the first time it has ever happened in a top class match (in the UK) and as far as know it has never happened again since. (note it may have happened outside the UK)

What happened...?

I'm going to take two guesses;

1. The House of York during the Wars of the Roses
Or
2. The anti-Nazi resistance group active in Munich 1942/43 formed of students from the city University.

The White Rose, or more appropriately The White Rose of Stalingrad, was Lidiya Vladimirovna Litvyak.

I was actually thinking of Richard De La Pole, nephew of the bloke in my avatar and Yorkist claimant to the throne of England between 1513 and 1525.

However having googled Ms Litvyak its clear that she's also the correct answer!

Your go...

The Earl of Derby?

I think the Lordhip of Mann was one of the spoils gained by the Stanley family as a result of their "join in on the winning side at the last minute" policy during the Wars of the Roses...

Who is the current Lord of Mann?

The Lord of Mann, if I remember my Manx history correctly is the title given to the head of state for the Isle of Man.
If that is the case, then it would be one of the many titles held by:
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Open Floor if correct.

I'm sitting here reading names of all these creatures I've never heard of. Whatever hapened to the original 151? Just like when I hear people talk about Thomas the Tank, they list all these new characters. *sigh* Sign of the times I suppose
