Great Britain introduced a set of stamps with only three values in the 1847-1854 period which were unusual in one specific way....What was this and what were the values on each stamp?

I have kept out of this one till now but it's something you can't get by pure guesswork. So here are the answers:
1. They were embossed (that makes them indeed unusual, though not unique)
2. 6d., 10d. and 1s.

(Assuming I am right) I plead for an open floor.

Correct...it was the embossing process that was used in the production of these stamps that was so unusual. The 10d and 1s values were also printed on paper incorporating silk threads.

Lee Evans was due to be the first comic to play the o2 arena. Until Chris Rock announced dates that were prior to his.

The name that immediately springs to mind is Brooke. Are the three chaps on the stamp members of the Brooke family, the "White Rajahs" of Sarawak??

Yes. these are three generations of the Brooke family, the "White Rajahs" of Sarawak. Sir James, the first in the line, on the left, his nephew Charles on the right and the latter's son Charles Vyner in the middle. The centenary actually took place in 1941 (the stamp is inscribed 1841-1941) but due to the Japanese occupation the stamps were actually issued in 1946.
