[Acathater]

In which year was the state of Prussia formally dissolved?

Germany had three actual, rather than de facto, national/federal capitals during the twentieth century: Berlin, Bonn and what other?

[Peterthegreat]

East Berlin?

[SuspectUsual]

East Berlin presumably?

[Acathater]

Frankfurt am Main

[Oxfordblues]

Berlin (as opposed to Westberlin) was the hauptstadt of the DDR (as opposed to "greater" Germany)

[Gloster]

No, I am treating Berlin as one entity, so it is not the answer.

Nor is it Frankfurt, even though it was considered, but Bonn was chosen instead.

[DaleCooper]

[D1511]

Köln?

[Gloster]

Munich

Köln?

No. Go higher.

[xotGD]

[Gloster]

Hitler's Alpine retreat.

No, not higher in that sense. In fact, very much the opposite.

[Peterthegreat]

Flensburg

[Gloster]

Flensburg

Correct. A week before the end of the World War II the capital was moved to Flensburg and remained there for three weeks, although only during the week leading up to the German surrender can it really be seen as the capital.

To you to rule on a new question.

[Peterthegreat]
