Labour gain Kirkcaldy & Cowdenbeath from the SNP. In other words, Gordon Brown's old seat.

I feel that Gordon Brown must feel vindicated. It doesn't entirely look like a Tory majority tonight - it's easy to think that it wouldn't have been any easier for Gordon.

Well you have to admit that there were two commies standing which must have confused the electorate, one of which I've never heard of and the other being paddy with the IRA.

Still have to laugh at Nick Clegg losing his seat though, the Lib Dems are finished. I'm suprised that the SDP didn't do better in Sheffield as most of South Yorkshire voted for Brexit and the SDP fits their mould.

The UKIP vote went to the Tories who if they fail to deal with Brexit, then UKIP would return - so I'm not writing them off yet.

SNP in Aberdeen is a fairly recent thing. Aberdeen South was Conservative previously, then I think it was Ann Begg that took it for Labour in 1997. Aberdeen North and Central areas were usually Labour.

Sinn Féin hold Mid Ulster. Remember that they don't take up seats in Westminster, so can't really be involved in a hung parliament.
