GEML wires down today

Anyone know what happened today
AGA tweets and press release said wires problem but did not give a cause
The pics with the twitter feed looked like cable theft, the side wire was down
line closed most of the day
P R terrible in view of recient political pressure to make the thing work

I heard a suggeston an owl brought down the lines around 3am this morning.

Can I just say that it was not immediately obvious to me what this was all about from the abbreviations GEML and AGA. I've worked it out now.

One does wonder whether a certain Mr Carswell will be 'owling on To-whit-ter again about AGA needing to have their franchise stripped

An Owl it was, Network Rail and AGA got a right pasting on the TV, but oddly nothing about the hours of delay on the A120 and the A12 for accidents yesterday !
