GCRN re-opening Easter

Easter Sunday will see the re-opening for the summer season at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, part of the GCRN, and a hired steamer will be providing services, whilst our 2 normal ones are undergoing repair. 2008 will see the 2 diesel galas, hopefully including 3x class 20s, D7629, 47292, and possibly newly restorated 56097 and 37009. Also on the day the running shed will be open for viewing, the minature railway offering rides, and the model railway running. Also, it is expected that vintage buses at the centre will be offering rides to all visitors.
On behalf of all the great efforts of the GCRN and LNER GC heritage trust team, we hope to see you there!

The 25 is a mint loco, I've had a cabride in it and it still runs dead well. Not sure if the tractor will be ready, seems a bit optomistic. You can see the development of all steam/diesel locos at http://www.nthc.co.uk/gcrn/38f/

Well if they were that good EWS would still have some inservice, but they don't, they still have 37's though so they are obviously a good loco

I've had a cabride in it and it still runs dead well.

I thought you already had......and it is me to thank for a certain phone number as well I do recall There are tractors at these places as well you know, I think one even has a pair as super shunters
