Will the trains that don't call at Hartlepool be diverted via Durham and the Stillington Branch again?

TIA

Whats the Stillington branch line? Anyone got any info on it, and the route the GC trains would take departing Sunderland. May fancy a bash down to York:D

edit - Just checked the times and the 13.13 out looks good, time for a few pints in York before heading back to Sunderland on the 20.25. Does it go Sun, Gateshead missing out Newcastle, pass Durham, then does it sneak off just south on that junction which has the white Stockton sign (IIRC)? If so where does it come out. Cant find much info on this Stillington Line like! Cheers.

The trains leave Sunderland northbound, avoid Newcastle, down the ECML, turn off south of Durham, round Norton Junction and end up at Eaglescliffe!

Think one of the workings is a limestone train from Hardendale to Redcar, or used to be, plus anything going from Tees Yard to the Tyne Valley
