GBRf in Cumbria / WCML

I love seeing the GBRf 66s and fun liveries on their routes, but it struck me I don’t see any on the WCML freightliners or intermodal, or any other traffic come to that.

Are there any GBRf workings up the northern WCML between Preston and Carlisle??? Or any other reasons a GBRf 66 could visit Penrith?

GBRf workings are identified in RTT with correct headcodes on the day of operation.

Apart from the obvious GBRf workings on the northern WCML (ie sleeper) there are some others eg examples

One way to identify possible workings is to look at all freight workings on RTT for a given day and then identify the ones with proper reporting numbers.

Not Penrith but nearby Langwathby, and of course Carlisle.
4N00 WFO (4N03 MO) Carlisle to Clitheroe, and 6C00 evening return cement.
6S94 WO Wembley to Irvine China Clay.

Okay, so a "diverted" cement could "happen".

And the Wembley - Irvine... does that not go up the WCML? I thought that was EWS for some reason. And I think the Burngallow - Irvine no longer running?

My timeframe is back to 2000 so I have a bigger window to legitimise GBRf locos on the layout

The Aviemore-Chirk timbers are Colas Rail, aren't they?

Thanks Jonathan - I clean forgot about the MoD trains! In my head I was back in the 2000s with the EWS 92s taking Carlisle-Didcot and Eastleigh MoD workings. I forgot they're GBRf now, which is daft of me as they're a frequent GBRf sight around Oxfordshire now - with Bicester and Kineton, and often down to Marchwood - not Didcot anymore sadly.

Absolutely!

They ran that way for months following the S+C landslip a couple of years ago.

Brilliant... landslip does for S&C or Cumbrian Coast (neither that unrealistic nor infrequent) and I have cement, gypsum, nuclear nd oil traffic otherwise not recently seen at Penrith.
(I remember when I used to be watching there, something gypsum or lime related used to come round the corner from Newcastle line down to Shap... want to say Redcar to Hardendale, but obvs gone now.

There is also the Ashton In Makerfield to Shap Summit and then return working which are GBRF operated
