It will be interesting to.see how the 99s cope on RHTT work. Can imagine the gunge getting everywhere, like into the electronics.
You'd hope that Stadler know how to manage the airflows within the loco, but yes it'll be a good test of that!It will be interesting to.see how the 99s cope on RHTT work. Can imagine the gunge getting everywhere, like into the electronics.
Yes l was thinking that they will look like an older loco in day's as well.It will be interesting to.see how the 99s cope on RHTT work. Can imagine the gunge getting everywhere, like into the electronics.

No, being dragged by a 66 to peterboroughI notice 99010 4L07 Birch Coppice to Felixstowe North. Is that a new working ?.
Thanks - I was a bit slow realising that. No, being dragged by a 66 to peterborough
Just passed Leicester LIP - no sight of 99002 (probably in the shed) but 010 was out there
Stops of doncaster down decoy for an hour, possibly with a 66 or 73? MaybePath in for Leicester to Millerhill again tomorrow with further movement planned to Aberdeen looks like may be a 99?
99002 apparently by itself heading to Aberdeen then will lodge itself onto 3S97 when it gets to AberdeenStops of doncaster down decoy for an hour, possibly with a 66 or 73? Maybe
Unable to confirm this happened but 3S97 certainly passed Inverurie this evening with 99006 on the front and nothing on the rear.99002 apparently by itself heading to Aberdeen then will lodge itself onto 3S97 when it gets to Aberdeen

Railcam notes seem to suggest this is what happened, with 99002 eyeballed in on that too alongside 006.99002 apparently by itself heading to Aberdeen then will lodge itself onto 3S97 when it gets to Aberdeen
0Z99 with 99002 stopped at Dundee tonight, as below.Railcam notes seem to suggest this is what happened, with 99002 eyeballed in on that too alongside 006.

Have read elsewhere the plan is to attach it to 3S97 at Dundee now instead of Aberdeen.
Someone earlier in the thread suggested the next two arrivals will come as single deliveries. It’s possible this means they will be delivered to Avonmouth Dock rather than Royal Portbury Dock as that’s where the last two lone deliveries came in.A friend messaged me suggesting the next Class 99 import move to Leicester will be 23rd October. Talking of delivery of 5 by Christmas....99014 to 99019, probably.
That was possibly me, talking about 99014/99015. I guess 3 more by Christmas is entirely feasible.Someone earlier in the thread suggested the next two arrivals will come as single deliveries. Why is that frustrating?I understand they need to train Scottish drivers, but it’s still so frustrating to see 66s working the Broxbourne RHTT (all under the wires) while 99s trundle around the far north on diesel.
Presumably because the 99s could be running on electric mode for most, if not all, of the Broxbourne RHTT circuit, reducing the emissions. Why is that frustrating?
I presuming the 99 on diesel is more efficient and environmentally friendly than a 66 in the highlands?Presumably because the 99s could be running on electric mode for most, if not all, of the Broxbourne RHTT circuit, reducing the emissions.
Pretty sure it has been at leicester for a while and incorrectly inputted as peterboroughAnyone know if 99010 moved as part of the 0Z70 move from Peterborough yesterday with 5 and 11 as per RTT (8/10/26) to Leicester or was 99010 always at the latter? Lists from 7/10 late on said it was at Peterborough but by yesterday afternoon it was showing Leicester
