Just seen the train pass Reddish South, thought it sounded rather different for a 66 only to discover afterwards it was actually the 59.

Last Thursday , September 8th , the 1Z16 return tour from Swanage to London Kings Cross, through Slough at 2126 was followed by the 129E Kidderminster SVR to London Victoria tour train through Slough at 2133 to the outskirts of London .

Funnily enough, exactly this happened yesterday. Both were timed for 8:54 at Pangbourne, I figured at least one would be late, but no !

Anyone know why the 92 leg turned out to be operated by a DB CARGO locomotive? Couldn't GBRf get one of their own 92's (albeit in Caledonian livery) to operate that leg? I didn't even know 92043 was functional until Sunday came along!

I remember getting off the Capital Deltic at Doncaster platform 4, only to have a BR Blue 47 turn up on platform 8 on another tour!

On the subject at hand, I traveled only the overnight section, only to regret not booking the full 4 days!
