One of the things which GBR needs to do introduce is a proper consolidated App, one with way more functionality than either the National Rail one or the current operator ones.
Having just spent some time in France, while the train services were a mixed bag, the SNCF App is superb. Yes you can buy tickets and look up services. But you can also see train lengths, how busy it's likely to be and even the type. PLUS there are diagrams to see where your carriage is on a train (essential with massive TGV trains) and where to stand on the platform. And push notifications of course for booked trains.
The 1st 2 screenshots are for a local service, the 3rd for a TGV service, and show what technology can do. You can scroll the train image at the front to see the other carriages.
I really hope we get something similar. To me this sort of "joined up" information is way more important than the colour of the trains.
