Quick question as to whether I am correct in thinking my route is valid for the ticket.

Travelling from Gatwick to Shoreham-by-Sea (Littlehampton service), then walking across to Amberly along the South Downs Way and catching a train back to Gatwick along the Arun Valley Line.
Getting two singles is rather expensive, so was wondering if a return to Chichester would be a valid route? Obviously it's fine for the return journey, but would it be a valid route to travel to Chichester via the Coastway?

show all valid routes Gatwick to Ford or Chichester which include via Shoreham-by-Sea.

Ford is the applicable routeing point for Chichester, so the routeing is the same.

Cheap day return £17.50 to Ford versus £20.20 to Chichester

Ford is also a valid routing point for Durrington and coastway stations West of plus Arundel. Durrington on Sea, Goring by Sea, Angmering, Littlehampton & Arundel are all additionally valid and priced at £17.50
