Gatwick ticket collection

It's so nice to be able to praise Southern for a change!

They've moved the two dedicated "collection" ticket machines at Gatwick away from all the other machines so you no longer have to queue/jostle with non collection customers to get to them. They are located on the right by the ticket office.

Whilst this adds room for queuing, it's not going to be as efficient for staff to "queue-bust" by asking passengers if they are queuing for the main bank of TVMs just for collection purposes.

It's often far better to use the "overbridge" TVMs, by the gateline away from the main concourse.

I still do, but make that singular TVM - they've stolen one for somewhere else so there's just one solitary machine there now

At least the left hand machine actually will sell you a ticket as well at present !
