Gatwick Express Drivers

Hi,

Any GX drivers here or Southern drivers in the know?

From a drivers point of view are Gatwick express and southern run separately or do gx drivers do southern work, (including metro work)? I'm assuming gx only have a depot at Victoria.

Otherwise, is gx work just half hourly gatwicks and half hourly Brighton, or is there a link structure?

Southern would cover GX work providing driver signs the main line & 387 stock ... Never known GX drivers to do metro work.

GatX drivers who come over on a clause 8i move and sign metro can be asked to cover metro work but can decline it and likewise, you can pick up rest day work if you like but this is frowned upon by all Gatx drivers and you won't make many friends plus the union don't like it.
