Garforth - Burnley on the day fare

hello,

Having checked NRE it mentions an off peak return to Burnley from Garforth tomorrow as £9.70 with a 16-25 railcard. Checking BR Fares however shows it as £27.20 for an anytime reutrn and the £9.70 off peak day return. Just to confirm will the station ticket machines give the £9.70 option and not the £27.20 option.

To Burnley Manchester Road, not the other two, yes. Central and Barracks are slightly more expensive.

Edit: Splits such as Hebden Bridge will also save a few pence.

The appropriate fare costs £9.70 assuming you travel via Hebden Bridge.

The £27.20 fare would be appropriate for someone travelling in the morning peak on weekdays, via Manchester, in both directions, who required the additional extended validity of an Anytime return (for example if they wanted to spend two nights in Manchester on the outward leg), I doubt many of these fares are sold.

The solitary ticket machine (which is quite hidden on the westbound platform) should give all 5 options.

Trainsplit will sell you tickets for this journey for £9.34, or you can manually 'split' at Hebden Bridge for £9.30
