Hi all, I applied for a depot driver role at GA in November of last year and just had my final DMI this morning (awaiting a decision). While awaiting the stage 2 assessment GA posted a vacancy for a mainline driver and I mentioned this in my DMI that my preference would be to go for a mainline position and they were very receptive to this.
Later this afternoon I then received an email from GWR informing me that my online interview for a mainline driver vacancy had been successful and that I’d be progressing to the next stage which is either more assessment or a DMI (depending on my assessment results I had taken for GA originally)

My question is that if I’m offered a mainline driver position from both GA or GWR. Which is the better TOC to go for and what would everyone’s advice be for me?

What would the respective commutes be like? That's not something to overlook.

Based on the user's location either almost nothing or quite small for GA and a fair bit longer for GWR!

I am presuming either Ilford or Liverpool Street for GA and Paddington for GWR by the way.
