GA Trainee Depot Driver Interview Questions

Hi guys,

I'm kinda new here and not sure but this has probably been covered before. I applied for GA'a trainee depot driver role and because I have passed the psychometric tests before I got invited straight to the interview which is this Monday. I don't have proper time to get ready but can anyone tell me what questions I might be asked apart from the usual "give an example when you worked alone..in an emergency situation etc "?

Why do you want the job.
What do your understand the job involves.
What do you know about the company / traction.
Where do you see yourself in x years time.

If you know the names of your interviewers you could look them up on LinkedIn and see what their professional interests are and try and weave those in.

I’d also get some questions to ask them.

Hi Daniel, I also applied for the same GA role but I didn’t have any update yet. I was also successful on psycho metrics before but still no update. Did you get the invitation through a call or Email? Did you mention on your application that you were successful on psychometric before? Thanks!

Hi Sera,
Yes I did mention about the tests, there was a section in the application form where they ask you if you took the tests, what company did you take the tests with and what was the outcome.
They called me and said that they've checked my results for psychometric tests and asked me of I want to come to an interview. I passed the tests with London Overground and I think they have a higher pass mark. And also my tests were very recent but don't know if that counts for anything. Hope this helps.

Hi guys, just wondering in the first interview you attend are they any written tests involve or is everything computerised? Sorry for the stupid question

Hi Joshmoon
At the interview it's nothing computerised. If it's the MMI you might get a piece of paper with 5-6 questions and you will have to give a short answer, then you will have to elaborate on those answers.
If it's the DMI you won't have to write anything..just answer the questions verbally.
If you're referring about the assessments:
-1st day of assessments is just pen and paper
-2nd day of assessments is both pen and paper and computerised.

Having had an interview for this role at GA, I can tell you that it's totally random questions thrown in, plus a little role play; interviewer 1 (depot driver supervisor) "hi vis vests must be zipped up at all times, you see me and tell me this but I dismiss you as you're a newbie, what do you do?" and detailed description of how I would peel an apple that was on the table! There was the usual questions along the lines that iPhone76 stated. I just remember also it was a very quick interview that didn't even last 30 mins and to my surprise, three weeks later I got the job! But I had already took the job with GTR.
