Hi,

I have just seen what I believe to have been a Greater Anglia class 90 coupled to a DRS class 47/57 go past on the West Coast Mainline. I believe it to be this service, as the timings seemed to match the time it passed me.

http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O09225/2014/06/27/advanced

It looked like an older liveried one that I suspect may have been on-route to the paint shop :D However, I would like to ask if therefore the service operating from Toton T.M.D. back to Crewe Gresty Bridge about 40 minutes after the above service arrives would just be the light diesel loco or whether it would have another class 90 coupled to the rear?

EDIT: The above service I have described is this one: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O09228/2014/06/27/advanced

Many thanks in advance,
Brick60000

Have just checked my emails, 90010 was reported to be on 0Z90 Crewe Gresty Bridge to Toton TMD (with a DRS 47/57 dragging it). I assume 90010 has had an exam at Crewe Electric and is going to get repainted into GA livery at Toton.

90010 had an exam and some repairs because i believe it got a seized wheelset and had to be dumped at Manningtree afterwhich 47818 dragged it to Crown Point, it later got dragged down the MNR and was dumped at Dereham until a road transporter took it to Crewe.

90010 probably jumped the queue by developing the fault.

Okay thanks for that. Does anybody have my ideas when it will return?

Nope, you will have to keep an eye on RTT and possibly Anglia Gen if you are a member of that group, the route it will definately take will be from Toton to Stratford(London) and then down the GEML.

The locos were confirmed by picture as 57012 and 90010. As 170399 said, keep an eye on RealTimeTrains.
