Given it is almost certain that sales of Annual Gold Cards will be significantly diminished post-Covid (with a shift to more flexible/remote working), what is the future of the Annual Gold Card?

It's historic purpose is to encourage discretional off-peak travel from people who already hold annual season tickets, and thus generate revenue. This is likely to be very significantly diminshed.

What are we likely to see to replace this lost revenue opportunity? An expanded Network Railcard area, perhaps?

I don't see me buying one again. It was always a marginal proposition for me anyway, even with the 10% local travel discount the benefit was convenience rather than financial. If I'm going to be heading to the office anything less than 5 days a week, it will be wasting money.

Would be very happy to see the Network Railcard cover the full Anglia area going forward.
