Yes I think you are correct. I was supposed to be going to Amsterdam and back using their direct services both ways next month.

Wow.

Both services depart London within 30 minutes of each other, which seems odd - surely a 2 hour gap would mean fewer people at security, in queues, and post security, at a time?

They are non-stop services, Lille passengers are sent via Paris on TGV, and Ashford/Ebbsfleet via St Pancras on SouthEastern.

The staff at St Pancras must do a short shift on departures, go home then (some of them) return for a short shift on arrivals.
