Furness Line temporary “timetable”

It’s not just the Hope Valley Line that Northern have messed up. The cancellation of both the 1550 (which starts back a Carlisle) and 1647 consecutive services from Barrow in Furness to Manchester Airport has messed up connections from the Furness Line to the Bentham Line at Carnforth/Lancaster. I was hoping to travel from Grange over Sands to Skipton in the late afternoon or early evening. Choice of departure times are now 1423, 1524 (with a lengthy wait at Carnforth/Lancaster) or 2019. Nearly a five hour gap.

I would say the answer lies in looking at where passengers are going to be upset the most. Barrow to Preston and Manchester in the morning peak or the likely single person of the day that travels from Skipton to Grange over sands?

Same on the Hope Valley. In Northern's defense it takes months to come up with a new timetable and the government forced their hand with weeks of notice. Sickness levels are still very high.
