Furness Line rail replacement next week?

Intending to make a journey on this line at the end of next week and I've just had a notification of rail replacement, which seems to be over about 4 days. Nothing about it on nationalrail.co.uk or the Northern site, and it's odd for it to be at such short notice (aside from immediately of course if the line had flooded again).

Out of interest is this...
1. Repairing things that were damaged due to the floods?
2. A mistake in the timetable and will change back?
3. Something else, if so what?

Thanks, so I guess what was done was just a temporary measure to get trains running again.

Annoying but can't be helped I guess. Interestingly I found out about it via an automatic notification from Trainsplit, but that notification told me I had to travel an hour earlier (which I can't) - there is actually a RRB departing at my original planned time, just arriving quite a bit later (the lay of the land round there means RRBs take about an hour longer than the train). Odd that it automatically assumes you want to travel earlier rather than arrive later, you'd think the automated system would identify both options.

Most RRB times are based on arrival at the ultimate destination at the same time, so the software assumes you want to get there at your usual time.
Delay repay/advance tickets seems to work the other way round, assuming you want to set off at your usual time.

Looks like the trainsplit got the information out before the Network Rail embargo or whatever they do as you suggested. It wasn't on the Northern website when I looked at trains through Ulverston on Tuesday

The drone footage shows they have been busy building a water slide of sorts since the line temporary fix .

Is this BBC news story correct? "From Monday to Friday" makes it seem as if the (Furness) line is shut all week.

I checked last last Friday intending to travel Tuesday (tomorrow) and it was clear it was Tuesday to Thursday closure. Don't know where that info has been plucked from.

BBC website seems to have been tweaked/updated today. Certainly a through rail service between Barrow and Lancaster running today, quite a few track workers doing some preparatory work at the affected location, just West of Ulverston. Full line possession tomorrow?
