I travelled on the 1245 from Bournemouth to Manchester on Friday 11th September. The carriage I was in had two "available" seats which my wife and I took when we boarded at Bournemouth, every other seat was reserved.
When other people boarded it rapidly became apparent that many seats had been reserved for two different passengers, and quite a few had been reserved for three different passengers.
The train manager checked each persons ticket to verify that this was the case and made an announcement.
As luck would have it there were plenty of available seats in other carriages so it wsan't a real problem.
I'm wondering how often does this happen? And how did it happen??
