Fumes onboard EMR 222

Quite a frequent traveller on EMR travelled on a 222 020 today never noticed it until today but this particular unit had a real strong diesel smell on the interior

The engines suffer alot from blown gaskets on the exhaust system, so it's probably that you smelt. I hope you informed the Train Manager so it can be flagged up for Bombardier to deal with.

Well no I guessed it was something to do with the engines but didnt realise it was that bad otherwise I would of said something not that I saw the train manager

Since you got the unit number, you could try sending EMR a message on Twitter if you have it.

I sent them a message at 5:30 am this morning they are sending it to the engineering team
