Anyone interested in a reminder of the early days of privatisation Silcox of Pembroke Dock are still running this UVG bodied Dennis Javelin between Haverfordwest and Carmarthen. It was raining and I couldn't be bothered to
walk to Narberth train:lol: station. Photo was taken at Carmarthen bus station. I still maintain a well driven manual (which this one was) is superior to an automatic.
The ticket machine is mounted on the dash. Slightly awkward but an improvement on trying to find somewhere to stow a loose Setright between stops. Not much to go wrong with that destination display. :D:D P1020875.jpg

How has that not rusted away yet?!

Javelins are slightly prone to rusting...and UVG bodies are awful for it!

Silcox have always operated some mature vehicles in their fleet. Good maintenance and vehicle care. It sounded good, with no squeaks or rattles.
