Hey everyone,

So I applied and got throught the telephone and online test stage with FTPE IN September of last year, I was sent for stage one tests, and passed three of the four at the enhanced FTPE pass rate, needless to say I failed one - I'm sure you can guess which one. Group Bourdon!

I have been in contact with first as six months have now passed. And they said once a vacancy comes up, I'll bypass telephone interviews and online tests, as well as the stage one tests that I oassed. And just do the group bourdon.

And here is where my question is..........

Is anyone aware of any useful hints on how to get through the group bourdon. Practising obviously, but you know, pass rates etc, or if you have successfully com, eyed the group bourdon, how did you do it?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You may not have passed to their enhanced standards but met the national? I passed to another companies enhanced on this but not even sure if all enhanced scores are the same !

Have you practised using the downloadable tool? Not sure if it's still there but steady practice pays dividends. No point counting the dots you begin to recognise the patterns that's part of the trick... Not working too fast just steadily across each line and finishing around half a page with as few mistakes or omissions as possible..

It is refreshing you only need to complete areas you failed... I have had no problems transferring my assessment scores to other companies

C2C must have a similar standard to TPE as they have enhanced scores on the computer tests whereas some just have enhanced on part one. An odd situation where C2C didn't accept one of my computer scores for depot driving but three mainline positions did

I did Ten lines per page and now work for FTPE.

I can tell you that when I paid privately years ago I failed the GB with 5 errors.
