Dose anyone have FSX here? Ive got FS2004 but that thing wont install,has anyone got the full FSX version , Im downloading the trail which Ive played before but got bored!

Yes of course but Im just going to save up for FSX full version then have the latest 777 experience

If you want to experience the details Microsoft showed you...

DONT BUY FSX UNLESS U HAVE A SUPER COMPUTER WITH £500 GRAPHICS CARD AND QUAD CORE PROCESSOR.

...otherwise you will be disappointed. The specs on the box are a lie and its for the minimum settings (which is worse than FS 2004's medium quality seting).

No chance for me, would mean a graphics upgrade (meaning to do that anyway), new processor and as a result, a new mobo. Oh, don't forget the new HDD I'll need or the RAM!

I must admit, I've a Fujitsu Siemens laptop, and fsx works exceptionally well. I've heard all the horror stories about low framerates, but even with medium settings fsx works fine.

What are your system specs? Whats your secret?

Simply 1GB of RAM, and an 80 gig hard drive on XP SP2.
Got an Intel Celeron M processor (1.7 ghz).

I open fsx on it's own, and give it high priority for memory.
I'm not condoning this, however. It can cause system problems if the processor doesn't like it.

Which theoretically means that if I install the 512MB of RAM that I've been meaning to for ages (which would give me 1280MB)I should be able to run FSX!
Processor is an Intel Pentium 4 2.02 GHz

Only flies in the ointment are disk space (15GB of 60GB free) and graphics card (32MB)

Certainly not my garbage PC, though sometimes it can work on some games that it is totally incompatible with my PC.

To be honest, I think one of the problems is that minimum specs are usually based on a clean and efficient systems with nothing running in the background, wheras the vast majority of computers arn't like this, and it's almost impossible to keep them that way. That said, you can't expect a program to run well on a minimum spec system if it's not been deragmented in months, has loads of things running in the background is cluttered up with spyware, and the case is so full of dust it's not being able to keep cool. Another problem is that programs are usually optimised for a certain operating system, so software designed for XP might not get as good performance on the same system running Vista and vice versa. Performance related updates for the OS and the program are also a big factor.

I'v got it and i do like the features

However they have tried to put too much into one game

The way they changed the layout of the installation means we can't just simply drag our addons from one to another any more and you need a beast to run it.
