I have seen a similar combination myself about a year ago. 318s, 320s and 322s can work in multiple.

Hi All

Class 318/320 are booked to operate with each other.

Think they are being used as a common pool, so if a 320 is not available for a diagram a 318 will go out on it, and vice versas

Few spare units each day, pending future electrification of the Strathclyde network

I have noticed this a lot over the last few weeks. I actually like it, now I can avoid the 320 seating by walking to the other end :)

if I was in charge and had the budget available, I'd have "homogenised" the Strathclyde 314/318/320 fleet to have identical seating-no loos- modified the traction systems to give them near-as-dammit identical performance and possibly plated over the emergency doors of the 314s to make them a bit more pleasant fro the drivers. I reckon they could happily operate as essentially a single fleet on shorter routes with the 334s and 380s operating the longer route

I'd just replace them all with 380s when the time comes!

Well, that too- I'd have seen my plan done years ago if it was up to me...

This is happening a lot these days. Waiting at Argyle Street last week, two 318/320 combos passed me, then my train was another 318/320 combo.

Hang around the Argyle line during rush hour. They tend to go from Larkhall and Motherwell to Milngavie and Dalmuir via Singer.
