Friday London unit spotting.

Evening all,

In your opinion, where is the best place in London just to spot a load of units? I'm around on Friday. Clapham Junction is always a winner but as I'm using Oyster I only have a certain amount of time to tap in and out.

Any open platforms or good places I can go?

London Bridge if you get bored with Clapham Jn, except Southern are on strike.
Bethnal Green if you wrap up warm.

Was in London today, we did Barking (C2C units), Stratford, West Hampstead and St Pancras. West Hampstead was good, took my grand total of 700s copped from zero to 11 in the space of a couple of hours, mixed in with 377s, 222s, a steady procession of Thameslink 319s and a couple of EMT HSTs.

As above Bethnal Green is good but at some stages you need eyes in the back of your head.

West Hampstead looks good, may give it a go!

TBH, outside any London terminal with heavy commuter traffic. Not the most "interesting" of trains but a frequent flow of them makes things interesting.
