Just noticed an error in the diagrams.

EMT Meridians work the Lincoln-Leicester route Monday and Friday only, not all week days as indicated. Wouldn’t want anyone to be disappointed when a 156 rocks up during the week.

Would it be possible to lay out the 800 diagrams as 1000 PAD - BTM 1248 please? It’s just a bit confusing as some people don’t know what those diagrams are and it can sometimes be a pain to have to go to RTT.@SprinterMan

Thank you for the big update though it’s very helpful. :)

PS: if it is a matter of not having enough time that means you have them in “1B05” diagram formation I would be happy to take them all and lay them out in the usual format you use “1000 PAD - SWA 1345” if you want?

I don’t even know how to look up things like “1C05” in RTT, although even doing that would take a while.

Thank you for the big update though!

Searching up a headcode is not hard. You just use the search bar.

Erm. I really don’t want to sound like a constant nag here but... some of these headcodes according to RTT don’t exist for GWR and some of them are for multiple GWR IC services so that’s quite confusing...

If you're searching on a day with an altered time table like today I'm not sure why you're surprised

Can I confirm that these are correct please? Going from the original post by Clarence Yard (https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...grams-allocations.153431/page-18#post-3240942) it seems that the diagrams beginning 1B05 0645 Padd-Swansea and 1L38 0759 Swansea-Padd are meant to begin on the 12th of February, not the 15th of Jan.

Might it be worth adding the services which avoid Swansea (via Swansea District Line) for ATW?

Here they are:
MON-FRI
1B97 1250 FGH - CDF 1519
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/P17003/2018/02/07/advanced

SAT
1B97 1243 FGH - CDF 1518
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/P17052/2018/02/10/advanced

SUN
1B97 1240 FGH - CDF 1509
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/P17078/2018/02/04/advanced

Have you got the diagrams to go with them because the thread is for diagrams.

No different to the Chiltern moves into Paddington or the unusual XC moves. None of those are complete diagrams on the thread, and to include that would probably be superfluous anyways.

In the Cross Country section there is a working which is missing.

1C11 0608 Bristol Temple Meads to Plymouth 08.38
This works via Bath Spa and Westbury (Wilts) with the first stop being Taunton.
This is to maintain driver route knowledge in case the direct route is closed due to engineering work or emergency closure.

Saturday only I believe, weekdays goes the direct route. Certainly an odd working as it is one of the few services booked to go non-stop through the platforms at Westbury.

Does anyone know if Northern will be running the class 37s from Carlisle-Barrow on the Easter bank holidays or will it be Sunday diagrams?

Thanks

When did Saturday get promoted to being a weekday?

Sometime in the mid 19th century at a guess, although the 6-day week goes back a few thousand years earlier. :)
Serious answer - the 5-day week is a relatively recent invention, and most office staff worked Saturday mornings into the 1950s.
Railway usage reflects that, and there are plenty of timetables still show SX and SO, though at some stage the header was changed to read Mondays to Saturdays.

BTW the standard European symbol of crossed hammers means "Mondays to Saturdays excepting public holidays" - except in the Czech Republic and Slovakia IIRC.
