Can anyone advise what trains will be used on the Lille to Perpignan avoiding paris route and also between Perpignan and Paris as i am doing this next month for the wigan game.

Are you going on a TGV? If so it will either be a Sud-Est, Reseau or Duplex set (or a combination coupled together) - I believe Sud-Est sets are currently being refurbished into a new livery.

If you are going Classic Lines I'm afraid I don't know what they'll use, probably a Co-Rail rake with locomotive

If you go on the sncf website and do a test booking and it allows you the choice of upstairs or downstairs seat reservation, you've got a Duplex (aka double-decker), otherwise not
