Afternoon all,
Now, I'm off to Toulouse in a fortnight for the weekend - Well it is in effect a day trip (arrive late friday, depart sunday morning). The rest of the party are off to the Airbus A380 assembly line, but as I went last year im planning on playing about on some trains - i'm no expert when it comes to foreign railways at all.
I'm thinking of a trip to Montpelier and back, and the fares on raileurope seem fairly reasonable. i;m 21, so come under the "youth" category. Fares are around £40 for a return, which I am happy to pay (about 2 hours each way).
The question I would like answering is this: As I don't want to pre book (as we are out on the drink on the friday night, and can't guarantee i'll want to go on the saturday), am i likely to pay quite a bit more than that on the day? Some tickets, albeit more expensive, state they can be cancelled at no extra cost, but seems a bit of an unnecessary faff!
Thanks in advance,
David
