same news and results as you guys. so am i right to say that if you pass the national standard you don't lose a life? And those who may not pass national standard lose a life as ?

guess we all know what is expected next time round so we all know what to do.

my brothers worked at freightliner for over 10+ years and he said peoppe always leave to go into passenger after the 3 year period so there will always be upcoming placed just hope it will be more trainee positions again in future

Good to hear that those waiting are finally getting their results.....a national pass is a pass nonetheless! Well done.

Can I ask where some of you got up to on the GBT, Dials & DFFT?

(Trying to figure out where my result might fall)

I was pretty hot on the GBT and the Tea-occ, this is something I practiced to death and I reckon I got 10-12 lines on the GBT with 1-2 ommissions at most(on pratice at home I was getting 1 ommission or 0) and
the Tea-occ Im pretty sure I got all the tones and all the symbols.

Dials I did 17 out of 43. I know they were all correct as I spent too long checking them.

DFFT I did 11 out of 20. Again, Im sure they were all correct.

GLOP test is anyones guess but majority were correct, a couple of questions were hard to tell apart the answers but majority were easy.

I passed to the national standard and will hopefully find out in the next 4 weeks where I didn't meet the enhanced scores.

Don't lose a life, can apply to another FOC or TOC now but have to wait 6 months to re-apply for Freightliner AFAIK

I've still had nothing, so I'm feeling that I must have failed if the news is slowly getting less positive.... Ah bugger, maybe next time

I called the OPC this morning and was told they were running behind. However, I’ve just received an email (coincidence I assume as everybody else seems to have heard now). I have passed and need to attend Crewe for Stage 2 on 11 Oct! Well chuffed to say the least as I really didn’t think I did that well. Just goes to show you never can tell really! Sorry to all those who didn’t pass but the fact that the normal standard was me is a result nonetheless. Congrats to those who are through to the next stage.

Absolutely. Im happy, I look at it like progress as its cost me nothing in terms of strikes and I get a better awareness of what needs to be done in future to pass.

The thing with my tests is that I know I could've quite easily have done better on the dials. I completed 17 out of the 43.
You might be wondering why so few, I wish I could give an explanation but to be honest I just tried too hard to be acccurate. Something just didn't kick in
at the time, whereas with the GBT I went like a bullet train I almost expected to be caught out or something with the dials. Odd really because I practiced them
before and found it so easy, I guess I should've practiced more.
It’s a result for you nonetheless as you’ve said so that’s cool, well done and good luck with your journey!

Just been told I passed too, stage 2 on October 10th. Didn’t really think this would happen, no clue how I’m gonna get through an MMI with my background!

I’ve also just received the good news but they cannot provide a stage 2 date just yet but it will be in or just after October

It's bloody frustrating that they won't accommodate date changes though! Any other role you would apply for there would be some flexibility!

For anyone yet to do stage 1 - I got up to 29 on the dials and only 11 on the DFFT and still managed an enhanced pass apparently so don’t stress too much!

Same here Lenny. I attended stage 1 on 30/08 and have just had the email to say I have passed but they cannot provide a stage 2 date yet.

Perhaps they are putting more people than first anticipated through to stage 2 if they have run out of dates to assign.

It seems that there's suddenly a shedload (yes I did intend that pun for those who get it) of emails.

I've just received mine saying that I'm being put forward for the line manager interview and I'll be contacted directly by Freightliner. Obviously my stage 2 from Chiltern is still good to go, I'm so relieved and over the moon.

All the best to those of you who are still waiting for news.

Anyone who applied for birmingham heard anything back today?
Sorry, I left the info out in my excitement, I have applied for Birmingham and have heard I'm in for line managers interview - I believe the Stage 2 I sat for Chiltern in 2016 is still valid, hence why I only did 2 out of 5 for the Stage 1 tests (the DFFT didn't exist properly in 2016).

All the best with your progress.

Yes Garston, I’m guessing it’s not a priority if we are last to go through stage 2

Could just be down to the timing of the Stage 1 dates and not specifically depots

I’m equally happy to be considered for Crewe positions...hahaha

I echo this comment. I only got 8 (and 3/4 :)) in the DFFT. I was confident they were all correct but was also concerned I didn’t complete that many. It’s accuracy rather than quantity that counts of course, but 8 was about as low as it gets I think. Some others here reported only completing similar amounts and passing so don’t assume you’ve not done well.

It's a grueller from what I recall, don't pad answers out or bull****, cos they're searching for weaknesses. There's no wrong examples you can provide, but if you let them lead you down bull**** avenue it'll show under pressure.

Don't let them rush you, try and dictate the pace and be measured and calm, all the best.
