Joof, did they tell you it would be within 7 days? From what I gather they had a lot of candidates for the roles and are just working their way through - waiting to hear myself but its difficult with some of the candidates already past medical stage to see where I will fit in.
Thanks Richio. Was just a little bit concerned as I know that one of the guys who did same dates as me received his letter pretty quickly. We were assessed by different people though in the mmi so that may make a difference as to when the results were sent. Got an email earlier explaining how busy they are at the minute and to be patient so that is what I am trying to do haha.

Yes Midge they said seven days but I spoke to Laura in the HR and she said that is what the OPC tell people but with the volume of interviews they have to do it takes longer. Sounds like they are very, very busy with this at the moment. Think there are 2 or 3 intakes anyway. Its killing me not knowing though lol. I really hope I did ok on the MMI.

Hi yes said all passed apart from urine sample for d & a... Which should be without issue So just see if I am now one of the chosen few. Where you from in west mids.... Cheers

I'm 3 miles from the centre of Birmingham. I'm guessing you had it in Birmingham? Another person on here swell as me were due ours Monday just gone, but the date was cancelled and new dates 5th and 6th next week.
I hope if all goes well the start date would be mid to late September, I need to give 28 days notice, so it's going to be tight.

This waiting is unbearable!
It's driving me insane. The not knowing is awful. I'm still waiting to see if I passed the mmi. Been 2 weeks 2 days now. I keep looking forward to the post to see if there is anything but nothing. Really hope I hear something soon. Starting to think maybe I've failed and they will let me know when they get the time! I know they're extremely busy at the moment.

Believe me I want it. It's such a golden opportunity. That's why it means so much. Positive mental attitude must be maintained. No news is good news right! Believe!!!!
Had my medical mid July for HH. Been told I passed but still not heard back with any official start date. Bit concerned about all different start dates and that no one can seem to clarify whether all people who pass the medical are guaranteed a job? Just wondering if it's a talent pool rather than actual job! Anyone know the status on medicals and are we guaranteed a position? Thanks .

Just found out via post that I failed the last stage of the assessments, the interview. Absolutely gutted, I thought it went well, one thing I picked up on though is the guy kept asking me how I felt for each question so it is obviously something that they picked up on after doing the personality test (forgot it's official name)
Absolutely gutted, six months to regroup and go again for my final shot. What's more annoying is I passed the CBI on the old tests and they decide to change them so I have to start again. If I fail next time, it's over and I will have to chase another dream. Best of luck guys.

Sorry to hear that Sammy. Try to get some feedback and definitely have another crack when the timer is up.

I'm really sorry to hear your news.
Don't lose heart though, I failed the MMI earlier this year with EMT. And was heartbroken! Requesting the feedback was the best thing I did, as I discovered that I only failed on one question. The OPC took me through the questions over the phone and told me that the only one I failed on was the one about tasks similar to the train driver role! This happened to be the very last question they asked me in the interview.
Hearing that, I was both gutted that I was so close, and yet, over time, encouraged! I've come to feel very confident that I can nail it next time because of that feedback!
Like you, before I got my feedback, I tried to understand where it all went wrong, and it turned out that the question I found the 'simplest' to answer was the one which I failed on, which was a real eye-opener!
I also got asked repeatedly how I felt, which worried me at the time, but it turned out it wasn't what failed me.
I'm now looking forward to my next attempt at the MMI, whenever that may be, now that the six months has rather quickly shot by!
Definitely get the feedback, as you will probably find it encouraging!

Sorry to hear your news Sammy, I was in the same boat six months ago and know how it feels. As dynamonic said the best thing to do is get the feedback from the opc as it made me feel a lot better. I also failed on the one question and the same one as dynamonic but when I went back through it I could see where I had gone wrong.
I know it's awful but pick yourself up, dust yourself down, get the feedback from the opc and smash it in six months. The time goes so quickly believe me.

It's definitely possibly to fail the DM interview it's not just a friendly chat! Mine lasted 1hr 45 minutes
