Can anyone tell me which tests/assessments we will be required to sit at stage two? I haven't had any information or practice material.
Where did you have your interview today, what depot are you applying for?
Regards
The second stage is the computer tests and Situational Judgement Exercise which leads to the Criteria Based Interview. You should have been sent material for part of it, it's studying a picture for around 1 second and then picking which items were in the picture you have just seen.
You will have to watch a white screen with a flashing grey square for 30 mins and then hit button as soon as it goes black.
You will move to joysticks to move a cursor around a shape 10 times, if you youtube train driver assessments you will find some very helpful videos. People who are good at computer games score well on these type of tests.

Had my interview in Crewe, they said I would find out in a month after everyone has sat their assessments. I have applied for Crewe, but stated Rugby would be closer to home for me. Training will probably be in Crewe and will start in September. For those not living close to Crewe they will board Sunday to Friday.
Far be it from me to tell you what to do but I'd suggest you talk to Freightliner about needing to change your appointment times, I'm sure they would accommodate where possible. I certainly don't think the OPC would let you sit them anyway if your not on their list for that day, remember the big thing about proving identity? Secondly I should imagine it would be viewed like the "tail wagging the dog" if you organise things behind their back.
I asked already. All dates have been allocated. I also asked if I got a mutual swap if it would be ok but still waiting for a reply. If someone is nice enough to agree a swap we would have to get freightliners approval obviously
I did my first stage in Crewe on the 16th and I've got my second stage 10th of July Watford at 0845hrs. If there is anyone who has the 1st to the 4th of July and would like to swap I would appreciate that. Similarly anyone who has from the 4th of August onwards I would be much obliged. As you can see I've just joined the forum and have messaged everyone with the appropriate dates but if there is anyone able to swap with me please message back. Thanks
Hi just out of curiosity who are you communicating with from freightliner? As I'm on the rules course ATM for intermodal and not sure of it's the same person who who does HH?
So to confirm, we will sit:
Computer based tests, and if successful, the SJE, which forms the basis for the interview??
Thanks
UJ
When I sat mine earlier in the year you will do your sje first then the computer tests the you'll have a interview. The tip for the interview is not to get too flustered and just keep calm! Don't get aggressive towards them there trying to wind you up.
Think I failed mmi very tough
Kept calm and confident though
Thanks to all here helping me pass all other tests first time never had trouble with applications always get through but turned down opportunities before as knew I wasn't ready

Keep positive ML its designed to make you feel like that, as long as you were honest and focused on what you spoke about and didn't wander too far off subject you will be fine![]()
Thanks
The rules and procedures answer I gave on the form she didn't let me talk about maybe to see how I reacted.. she often refused to hear examples I had... yet at other times kept wanting a specific occurance
Oh and she didn't know what the four foot was lol
I think I had the same lady interview me, it felt pretty brutal. I'd like to think I kept calm enough, but I just feel like I failed it lol.
