Does anyone happen to know what routes FLIM drivers based out of Crewe sign?

Wembley, Trafford Park, Garston, Ditton, Carlisle and Peterborough - though apparently there aren't many who sign the last two.

Presume 66 is naturally core traction. Possibly 70 and 90 to go with it?

66&70 as core, then 90 and some sign 08 as well.

Most sign 08 as there is a turn or two that uses the 08 at Trafford. Also, wembley runs are also signed by a few via Birm Int, on top of via Trent. Handfull of top link sign all sorts of other bits and bobs, chat moss, Lawley Street, via Stoke etc etc

I'd love to add all the FOCs to the driver route knowledge thread but even at Freightliner IM it's hard to account for different drivers with different knowledge and they're probably the most simple of the FOCs to work out, with links and regular rostered work.

Yeah, IM isn't too bad, but HH is impossible to pin down

I drive for GB and at our depot we have about 36 driver's now. Every single driver has a slightly different route card. I'd also love a FOC thread but it would simply be impossible.

It could be possible if you were to list the common routes (relating to frequent work or possessions over a section of line etc) every driver at your depots signs eg. if you work out of Willesden and you always work to Tonbridge etc, that would go on the list?

But where do you draw the line? All drivers, 90% of drivers, 50% of drivers? Unless you have one or more clearly defined links where everyone is required to have certain route knowledge then it gets very hard to put down.

Even the TOC list I compiled whilst now listing every passenger depot in the country is a little fuzzy in places with a lot of "link dependant" sections, but I think it gives a good idea of what kind of work to expect for someone thinking of applying to work at a particular depot (or indeed, like myself, people who are just curious about the logistics of it all). For FOCs, it just seems so much harder to do. If someone else feels up to the challenge then great, but I wouldn't even know where to start myself.

At Mendip for Freightliner HH the core route which everyone eventually signs is Merehead/Whatley to Acton via the B&H and via Swindon.

I see what you are saying but it's really not clear cut. My depot alone is very complex in terms of the variety of work. Without coming off topic too much I'll try to give you some idea of what I mean.

I work in the West Midlands and I normally work Small Heath/ Banbury to Hindlow via Crewe and Northwich. Now, only 3 of us out of 36 sign that route. This is the case for almost all of the routes. Wembley and Peterborough being where more sign but then you've got diversionary routes attached to that. No 2 route cards are the same.

You also have people moving between TOCs and FOCs where they have obscure route knowledge and when they build upon that and their new employer which again leads to unique route cards.

If I gave you the core routes I'd only be giving you half the picture in terms of what people actually sign.
