90018 is at Eastleigh which is interesting considering that previous 90 repaints were always done at Wolverton. A new livery perhaps?
Yes, 90018 is at Arlington’s paintshop at Eastleigh Works for repaint. These things can depend on paintshop availability and Freightliner has a good relationship with Arlington.

Is 90018 the DB Red locomotive with a Freightliner logo on top?

90018 is currently in convoy with 66501 (Freightliner Orange), 70008 (in Freightliner 60 Green), 59201 (in Freightliner Orange) and GWR’s 57601 to the Great Gathering today. It is in a light grey with red BR band scheme inspired by the original BR Freightliner brand as seen on the container flat at the NRM.

Not my video as my IPhone decided not to play ball.

Pictures and details from Arlington Fleet Services:

Latest release from our Paintshop this morning. Shunted straight into the convoy bound for Derby and the Greatest Gathering.
Well done, as always, to Jim & Co in the Paintshop for another fabulous job.

As above, two photos of 90018 in its BR Freightliner 1965 inspired scheme
- a light grey base with red BR band scheme inspired by the original BR Freightliner brand.

Get rid of the second stripe and the '60' and it would look the business.

Better than the orange, certainly.

Quite like the livery. Something different, which is welcome when it comes to Freightliner.

Only issue with it is the '0' in the '60' overlapping with the red stripe. If you're going to do that, at least do it in a drastically different colour as the orange on red doesn't really work.

I suppose they may have had to make the red band narrower than the original to fit the orange band in. Is it just me who’s a bit bothered that the red band doesn’t quite line up with the black flat part of the cab fronts where the head-lights and horn grille are? Though I get that the bottom of the red band lines up with that structure next to the number, and the bottom of the cab doors, and the top of the red band lines up with the top of the bottom cab door handle - the red band could have been made taller to be at least the same distance above the black band (and the bottom cab door handle) as below, to give some symmetry.
