Freightliner light engine moves Mossend - Newcastle

I saw 90012 and 90014 light engine very early this morning passing through Slateford on 0E90 going to Newcastle, and it seems they both returned later today on 0S92 back to Mossend.

Anyone know what these moves are? Freightliner route learning for diverted intermodals to Coatbridge & Mossend during the M6 bridge replacement maybe?

Yes I believe so. They've been going on for a while now. Don't think they run every day but they've run quite often.

Cheers Dan, much appreciated. I'm quite looking forward to this blockade, I'll get some different traction passing the house for a while! 4S88 is a 66 tonight.....I wonder if the diesel hauled intermodals will come round the Edinburgh sub.....
