Hello all,

Been thinking about moving to freightliner intermodal as a qualified driver in the north west area but I'm a little confused on the location of intermodal depots (I have contradicting information- I've read only Crewe is an intermodal depot?). The freightliner vacancy website seems to post vacancies for three different categories- general train drivers, intermodal and heavy haul drivers which adds confusion as I don't know what job I'm applying for with respect to terms and conditions. I don't know if this is just a hr quirk but it leaves me with doubts about applying for their vacancies, as I would like to only apply for vacancies with intermodal terms and conditions (less pay but better terms/rostering etc.) Moreover, if anyone is already working for intermodal, it would be great to have some detail into driver diagrams/rostering/shift swaps particularly in the north west etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Crewe is both HH and IM; other than that there is Garston in Liverpool and a small one in Trafford Park.
