You have any idea regards how many internals they have for Crewe? One of my mates is a shunter there and said there is a couple. I am hoping they take a large number for there

100 in the talent pool, of which 40 are internal. No specific details on what depots they are in for though.

I’m in the talent pool for Mendip so fingers crossed! I was supposed to be starting as a trainee last year but my course got cancelled . I know someone else who was supposed to be on the same course as me last year has been called up about a position at Mossend so sounds like the rumours are true.

If this was for the Groundstaff job at Teesport, I believe this has been filled internally

Don’t know if you’re still looking or not but keep your eyes on the jobs pages as they’re maybe jobs coming up at boulby and elsewhere in the near future. Job that you originally applied for was never filled as such

I am in the talent pool for Crewe. Spoke with HR last week and they have said that for Crewe there will be no talent pool training positions offered as they already have enough people internally to fill their training needs. I asked about how many positions etc and they wouldn't go into detail but they said to look out for possible shunt driver positions at Crewe as a way into the company. They said it was very unlikely you would go straight from pool to driving at the moment as they have numerous internals who will get priority over externals.

I am still hoping but it doesn't sound great at the moment.
