Hello

Me again, my third post on here in a week...

T'was wondering, yesterday s'evening approx 19.00-19.30 a train went up the line from Exeter Central heading towards Waterloo... (I live between Central & St. James.)

It was definately a freight of some sort because of the front loco sound and the heavy 'rail-joint' sound and length of train.

Usually I can hear them coming up the bank and run upstairs to see what it is from my front window, on this occasion I was too late.

I was just wondering out of interest if anyone knew what this was...?

Many thanks guys and gals.

Matt :D

Possibly 66 on engineers train heading up to axminster, something to do with loop construction?

There was one up there not so long ago.

I really gotta get my self a timetable.

Hello

Thanks for your replies...

It certainly did sound like a 66, it had that usual 'ying ying' sound as you described 37401'

And I have thought to myself it probably is something to do with the loop at Axminster, your quite right schenker'
I believe it must be due for completion soon.

Thanks,

Matt

Well I only presume that was what it was as freight is very rare along that line as you know.

I think its due for completion at the end of the year, I notice they
have a few weekends booked for closure between Crewkerne and Honition coming up.

Might pay off to take the camera down :D
