Anyone know if there is a timetable for freight trains running along the Reading-Plymouth line? Thanks!

That's an idea, but I'm not prepared to spend £80 for a timetabe

That is a decision for you, but you are getting access to the entire freight timetable for the UK, plus access to the Forum, and a support network.

Personally I find it absolutely indispensible, as it saves much, much more than it costs just in petrol, let alone time, to go for a particular service which may be cancelled or diverted.

In addition you get all the special workings.

Anyway its for you to decide.

Yahoo groups have GEN groups that post infomation, not always posted beforehand but its good for getting the unusual workings as well as the usual stuff.

Some of the good ones, which are accurate though, require paid membership and are restricted to "by invitation".
